Prizes and Awards

Jovo was Miladinović accepted into the elite programme 2023 of the Baden Wuerttemberg Foundation receiving scholarship for his postdoc project Mediterranean (Dis-)Connectivity: The Southern Adriatic in the Age of European Territorialization, 1699-1856 .

He has received two prizes so far for his dissertation with the title Heroes, Traitors, and Survivors in the Borderlands of Empires: Military Mobilizations and Local Communities in the Sandžak (1900s-1920s), completed at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2021:

In September 2023 he was awarded in Vienna the prize for his outstanding dissertation in the fields Turkology, Ottoman Studies and research on Turkey by the Society for Turkic, Ottoman and Turkish Studies (GTOT):
