Prof. Dr. Grzegorz Krzywiec

Professor Grzegorz Krzywiec has been appointed Visiting Fellow within the Fellowship Programme 'Violence in East and West' in May 2024.

Grzegorz Krzywiec is Associate Professor at the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His latest publications include Poland without Jews. Studies in the history of anti-Semitic ideas, imagination and practices in the Polish lands before the Great War (Warszawa 2017, in Polish) and Chauvinism, Polish Style. The case of Roman Dmowski (1886-1905) (Frankfurt - Wien - London, 2016).

At Constance, he will pursue his project 'Transformation Through Violence, 1936-? Towards Microhistory of an Ordinary East-Central European Small Town/Shtetl on the Eve of WWII (and afterwards)'.
